We are so happy you've decided to visit and (hopefully) purchase from our site.

Far Out Art started as a labor of love. As a lover of beautiful things and as a father of a budding artist, it seemed a natural thing to do. What really got things going though is a bit of an involved story.

It all started when my wife and her friends were trying to get rid of some of the accumulated "junk" by holding a garage sale. The day turned out to be absolutely miserable, raining constantly. As a result, not much sold. This meant that we all had our pick of each other's cast-off's. I looked through some books that had been left and picked out "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". It was an easy read and I finished it quickly. What I learned from it was that I could help my son, who looked to be a free spirit and who might not take the traditional route of college, job and marriage. I got the idea of starting a part-time business with him, teaching him the value and lessons of running a business and give him a job/career option.

So far, the experiment has been a grand success.
